Answer

There is currently no clinical evidence to support the role of routine clinical neuroimaging in the diagnostic evaluation of autism, even in the presence of megalencephaly. [2] Studies of various imaging techniques have yielded inconsistent results, and although characteristic abnormalities have been identified, no single finding is diagnostic.
