Answer

In immunocompromised patients, improvement of lesions has been observed in individual patients treated with ritonavir, cidofovir (intravenous and topical), [61, 62] and zidovudine. Not surprisingly, patients with AIDS and severe molluscum contagiosum improve with effective antiretroviral therapy.
