CNS findings on physical examination include the following:

  • Anxiety, agitation

  • Tremors

  • Seizures

  • Altered mental status

  • Head, eyes, ears, nose, and throat findings

  • Pupils that are dilated but reactive to light

The thyroid should be examined because thyrotoxicosis may mimic caffeine toxicity.
