In acute vitamin A toxicity, a history of some or all of the following may be present:

  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Anorexia
  • Irritability
  • Drowsiness
  • Altered mental status
  • Abdominal pain
  • Blurred vision
  • Headache
  • Muscle pain with weakness
  • Seizures
