Answer

Answer

Findings from the Third International Stroke Trial indicated that among patients with ischemic stroke who are candidates for thrombolytic treatment, high baseline blood pressure (BP) and a large pressure variability during the first 24 hours may be associated with a poor prognosis, whereas a large reduction in BP and the use of BP-lowering treatment during the first 24 hours may be associated with a favorable prognosis.
