Other findings of respiratory disfunction include the following:

  • Agitation, anxiety, or restlessness

  • Poor chest wall expansion

  • Decreased air entry

  • Rales, rhonchi

  • Pallor, cyanosis

  • Increased heart rate

  • Paradoxic movement of the chest wall

  • Increased accessory muscle use

  • Moist cough
