Acute necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis

  • Apparently spontaneous bleeding or bleeding in response to very minimal local trauma may occur.

  • ANUG also may produce local pain, malaise, and alterations in taste, such as a metallic flavor.

  • ANUG may produce foul breath.
