Pulmonary features include the following:

  • Adventitious sounds (rales, wheezing)
  • Tachypnea
  • Hemoptysis
  • Cyanosis
  • Decreased end-tidal carbon dioxide, arterial oxygen saturation, and tension
  • Hypercapnia
  • Increased pulmonary vascular resistance and airway pressures
  • Pulmonary edema
  • Apnea
