Answer

For patient education information, see Bladder Control Problems, Bladder Control Medications, Inability to Urinate, and Foley Catheter.

Patients may well conduct Internet searches for information on their condition. Using  the search terms "neurogenic bladder intermittent catheter" and "spinal cord injury intermittent catheter", Ho et al found 71 videos online  that covered these topics. However, most of the videos provided poor-quality information, and some offered information contradictory to European Urological Association guidelines for intermittent catheterization. Videos that the authors deemed of good quality were not prominently ranked by the YouTube search algorithm, suggesting that users would be less likely to access those. [21]
