Answer

Answer

Mirabegron was approved in 2012 by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of overactive bladder. In an initial study of its effectiveness for the treatment of neurogenic detrusor overactivity in 15 patients with spinal cord injury, a significant reduction of the frequency of bladder evacuation per 24 h (8.1 vs 6.4, P=0.003), and of incontinence episodes per 24 h (2.9 vs 1.3, P=0.027) was observed. However due to the limited size of the study, more research is needed. [19]
