Answer

Answer

Initial observational data on pomegranate juice or extracts suggested a benefit for prostate cancer prevention. Placebo-controlled trials have not demonstrated a consistent impact on prostate cancer, however, and pomegranate juice can contain larger amounts of calories than beverages such as green tea. Thus, the use of pomegranate for prostate cancer prevention cannot currently be supported. [81, 82, 83]
