Precautions include the following:

  • Renal or hepatic impairment (do not exceed 5 mg in patients with creatinine clearance < 30 mL/min or moderate hepatic impairment [Child-Pugh class B])
  • Controlled narrow-angle glaucoma
  • History of prolonged QT interval
  • Bladder outflow obstruction
  • Decreased GI motility
