Recent quality-of-life instruments have been validated to measure cystectomy-related outcomes. A paucity of retrospective and prospective studies exist. [44] At present, it is not possible to deem one form of urinary diversion superior to another in terms of quality of life. [45] Future prospective randomized studies will help to elucidate the relative benefits of the different forms of urinary diversion.
