The use of laparoscopy has been described in diagnosing a pediatric patient with an appendicovesical fistula. [14] Adult laparoscopy is commonly used for investigating abdominal pain in women and may become a more frequently used diagnostic tool in men. Exploratory laparotomy is used for diagnosis and therapy in all types of fistulae.
