The following medications may be used to aid in the management of patients with pneumothorax:

  • Local anesthetics (eg, lidocaine hydrochloride)
  • Opioid anesthetics (eg, fentanyl citrate, morphine)
  • Benzodiazepines (eg, midazolam, lorazepam)
  • Antibiotics (eg, doxycycline, cefazolin)
