In addition to the conditions listed in the differential diagnosis, the following problems should be considered:

  • Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)–associated spondyloarthropathy (SpA)

  • Juvenile idiopathic arthritis

  • Diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis
