Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is suggested by the presence of the following:

  • Butterfly rash
  • Discoid lupus erythematosus
  • Photosensitivity
  • Alopecia
  • High anti-DNA titer
  • Renal disease
  • Central nervous system (CNS) abnormalities
