Answer

Regular monitoring may be helpful. Periodic bone densitometry helps in diagnosing osteoporosis in the early phase and aids in preventing fractures. According to the National Osteoporosis Foundation, evaluating BMD on a periodic basis is the best way to monitor bone density and future fracture risk. [4] However, there is considerable controversy about how often to repeat BMD measurements, particularly in postmenopausal women with a normal baseline BMD. [241]
