Answer

In a preliminary study, an induction regimen that combined the novel calcineurin inhibitor voclosporin with mycophenolate mofetil and low-dose oral corticosteroids led to complete remission in almost a third of patients with acute lupus nephritis, and to partial remission in the majority. [71] A phase III trial of voclosporin is currently recruiting participants.  [72]
