GI disorders associated with chronic pain include the following:

  • Chronic visceral pain syndrome

  • Gastroesophageal reflux

  • Peptic ulcer disease

  • Pancreatitis

  • Chronic intermittent bowel obstruction

  • Colitis (see the image below)
