Patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) should be seen at a center that specializes in pulmonary hypertension treatment. This is particularly important prior to the initiation of advanced vasodilatory therapies. Referral to a lung transplantation center is recommended for patients who require maximal medical therapy (ie, triple vasodilator therapy). [22]
