Answer

Digoxin is primarily used in PAH patients who have atrial tachyarrhythmias. Although its inotropic properties have been shown to be useful in acutely improving cardiac output in certain PAH patients, its long-term effects are unknown. [19] For this reason, its main indication remains slowing the ventricular rate in patients prone to arrhythmias.
