  • Causes - Multiple etiologies based on findings from history, MSE, physical examination, lab studies, and other required diagnostic tests

  • Differential diagnosis - Multiple etiologies; differentials (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM5)), other problems to consider that may be contributing to a patient’s status (medical and neurological illnesses, social circumstances, et al.)
