Answer

Similarly, the randomized, double-blind CAFE (Comparison of Atypicals for First Episode) study found few differences between olanzapine, quetiapine, and risperidone in 400 patients experiencing a first episode of psychosis, with all-cause treatment discontinuance rates in the vicinity of 70% by week 52. Drowsiness and weight gain were along the most common adverse events with all 3 drugs; in addition, insomnia was seen with olanzapine, a longer sleep time with quetiapine, and menstrual irregularities in women with risperidone.
