Itching is the most frequent paraneoplastic cutaneous manifestation. Herpes zoster, ichthyosis, [22] flushes, alopecia, or hypertrichosis also may be observed. Acanthosis nigricans and dermic melanosis are characterized by a blackish pigmentation of the skin and usually occur in patients with abdominal cancers, especially gastric neoplasms and adenocarcinomas.
