The American Cancer Society estimates that in the United States in 2018, about 55,440 new cases of pancreatic cancer (29,200 in men and 26,240 in women) will be diagnosed. [10] In whites, the overall incidence rate of pancreatic cancer increased by about 1% per year from 2005 to 2014, but in blacks the rate remained stable; however, rates remain about 25% higher in blacks than in whites..
