Answer

Planning 4-dimensional computed tomography (4DCT) scans can be used to minimize target volumes for lung cancer radiotherapy, but 4DCT results may not be fully representative of patient movement during radiotherapy. Dutch investigators have reported that megavoltage cinema images can identify patients in whom planning 4DCT scans are not representative and thus could be helpful in the treatment of small lesions.
