The fibroepithelioma type consists of thin, anastomosing strands of basaloid cells in a prominent stroma.

According to some studies, the so-called fibroepithelioma of Pinkus, considered to be a premalignant skin condition, must be considered as a fenestrated variant of basal cell carcinoma. [64, 65, 66]
