Superficial BCCS have been successfully treated with imiquimod 5% cream, [19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24] and topical 5-fluorouracil 5% cream may be used to treat small, superficial BCCs. [25] Several studies have shown success in treating small nodular BCCs with imiquimod 5% cream, although this is an off-label indication and patients should be informed of this fact.
