Answer

Answer

Cervical erosion may lead to vaginal spotting. The cervical cap is associated with a theoretical risk of TSS if it is left in place longer than 48 hours. The cervical cap requires professional fitting and training for use. Severe obesity may make placement difficult. It has a relatively high failure rate. Candidates must have history of normal results on Papanicolaou (Pap) tests.
