Answer

Answer

ASCO advises that cognitive-behavioral therapy and pelvic floor (Kegel) exercises may be useful to decrease anxiety and discomfort and can lower urinary tract symptoms. Pelvic floor physiotherapy may be beneficial for patients experiencing symptoms of a potential pelvic floor dysfunction, including persistent pain and urinary and/or fecal leakage. Clinicians may refer patients to a urologist or urogynecologist for further evaluation and treatment of urinary incontinence or to a colorectal surgeon for fecal incontinence. [21]
