Systemic therapies recommended for advanced stages include the following [26, 27, 2] :

  • Retinoids (ie, bexarotene)

  • Interferons (IFN-alpha, IFN-gamma)

  • Histone deacetylase (HDAC)-inhibitors (vorinostat, romidenpsin)—not approved in Europe

  • Extracorporeal photopheresis (ECP)

  • Methotrexate (≤100 mg/wk)
