What is the clinical history of patients with contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN)?

Patients iwth contrast-induced nephropathy usually present with a history of contrast administration, 24-48 hours prior to presentation, during a diagnostic or therapeutic procedure (eg, percutaneous coronary intervention [PCI]). The acute kidney injury is usually nonoliguric.
