Urinary tract obstruction may result from any of the following:

  • Benign prostatic hypertrophy
  • Urolithiasis (kidney stones
  • Urethral stricture
  • Tumors
  • Neurogenic bladder
  • Congenital (birth) defects of the kidney or bladder
  • Retroperitoneal fibrosis
