Answer

Answer

Cardiovascular complications, including acute myocardial infarction or congestive heart failure (CHF), may be precipitated by CAP in up to one third of patients. [30, 31, 32] A 2019 post-hoc analysis of a cluster-randomized controlled trial indicated increased rates of hospital-acquired cardiac events, mostly heart failure, after erythromycin use. [33]
