Answer

In persons aged 2-55 years with a protracted increased risk for exposure to meningitis, the 2010 ACIP guidelines recommend a 1-dose primary series. The booster dose should be given after 3 years for children aged 2-6 years and after 5 years for persons aged 7 years or older, if the person remains at increased risk. [47]
