  • Decreased hearing or deafness

  • Other cranial nerve dysfunctions

  • Multiple seizures

  • Focal paralysis

  • Subdural effusions

  • Hydrocephalus

  • Intellectual deficits

  • Ataxia

  • Blindness

  • Waterhouse-Friderichsen syndrome

  • Peripheral gangrene
