The following patterns often are seen in patients with cerebral palsy, stroke, or traumatic brain injury (TBI):

  • Adduction and internal rotation of the shoulder

  • Flexion of the elbow and wrist

  • Pronation of the forearm

  • Flexion of the fingers and adduction of the thumb
