What is the role of urinalysis in the diagnosis of leptospirosis?

On urinalysis, proteinuria may be present. Leukocytes, erythrocytes, hyaline casts, and granular casts may be present in the urinary sediment. Rapid urine antigen test using lateral flow assay is under development.
