In 2019, the American Association of Poison Control Centers (AAPCC) reported that 6020 single exposures to calcium channel blockers (CCBs), resulting in 31 deaths and 111 major outcomes; 1198 exposures occurred in children younger than 6 years. [12] The past decade has seen only a minimal decline in the percentage of pediatric exposures to CCBs of all cases called to Poison Control centers nationally. [13, 14, 15, 16, 17]
