Complications and sequelae of dengue virus infections are rare but may include the following:

  • Cardiomyopathy
  • Seizures, encephalopathy, and viral encephalitis
  • Hepatic injury
  • Depression
  • Pneumonia
  • Iritis
  • Orchitis
  • Oophoritis
