The role of corticosteroids in atypical CSD is somewhat controversial. Patients with neuroretinitis, encephalopathy with or without hemiplegia, and acute solid organ transplant rejection [61] have all been treated successfully with a combination of appropriate antibiotics and steroid therapy.
