Answer

Neuroretinitis (Leber stellate neuroretinitis, Leber idiopathic stellate retinopathy, [50] Leber idiopathic stellate maculopathy) was first described in 1916. It often follows lymphadenopathy or an influenzalike syndrome. Patients present with painless, unilateral (rarely bilateral) decreased vision associated with central scotomata. Funduscopic examination reveals papilledema with macular exudates in a star pattern.
