  • Recurrent ischemic event [1]

  • Hemorrhage into infarcted brain tissue

  • Stroke-associated epilepsy

  • Anticoagulation-associated intracranial, gastrointestinal, or retroperitoneal hemorrhaging

  • Urinary tract and pulmonary infections

  • Skin breakdown

  • Depression

  • Chronic pain

  • Dyskinesia and dystonia
