Answer

Answer

Epithelioid angiosarcomas of the pleura have been causally linked to chronic pyothorax due to tuberculosis, mainly in Japan. [30, 31] There may also be an association between angiosarcoma of the serosal membranes and prior radiation exposure. [32] Although a few cases of pleural angiosarcoma have been reported in persons exposed to asbestos, there are insufficient data to conclude that epithelioid angiosarcomas are causally linked to asbestos.
