MDS with ring sideroblasts (MDS-RS) criteria are as follows:

  • Blood: anemia, no blasts

  • Bone marrow: ≥ 15% of erythroid precursors with ring sideroblasts, or ≥ 5% blasts ring sideroblasts if SF3B1 mutation is present
