Answer

In a study of six patients with necrotizing fasciitis, Crew et al  found that flow-through instillation with saline containing pure 0.01% hypochlorous acid (with no sodium hypochlorite impurity) may weaken bacterial toxins and the toxins released from damaged cells, as well as mitigate the immune dysfunction they cause.
