Answer

In another study, preexisting chronic liver dysfunction, chronic renal failure, thrombocytopenia, hypoalbuminemia, and postoperative dependence on mechanical ventilation represented poor prognostic factors in monomicrobial necrotizing fasciitis. In addition, patients with gram-negative monobacterial necrotizing fasciitis had more fulminant s epsis. [44]
