Gallium-67 (67Ga) scans are valuable in the staging of diffuse large cell lymphomas (DLCLs). Gallium uptake correlates with disease activity and is useful as an indicator of response and prognosis. Uptake of 67Ga occurs in approximately 50% of indolent lymphomas and in most aggressive and highly aggressive types. 67Ga scans are also sometimes used as a means of assessing sites of relapse.
