The following is a partial list of medications and chemicals that individuals with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency should avoid:

  • Acetanilid

  • Furazolidone

  • Isobutyl nitrite

  • Nalidixic acid

  • Naphthalene

  • Niridazole

  • Sulfa drugs
